Features & Benefits:

Avalon Composite Shutters are constructed from a durable composite wood with a strong polypropylene coating covering all surfaces. Structurally the multi-doweled joints withstand tension and stress over time, and can withstand temperatures over 140° without warping. The satin finish simulates painted wood.

Structural Parameters

Panel Styles:
The Catalina panel is the classic Avalon design, with a stylish bead cut into the full length of each stile.

Our Clear View panel is built for beauty and view.  Clearview provides the least obstructed view, with the tilt bar placed on the back, inner edge of the panel.

Multi-doweled joints

Frames:  Outside mount "CL" frame or Inside mount “CZ” frame.  Inside mount must be more than 1½” of window depth.  The "CSP" sill piece is also available.

Colors:  White or Off-White

Louver:  2½ and 3½”

Hinges:  Non-Mortise hinges in White or Off-White

Rails:  Top and bottom rails have 5½” maximum height and 3” minimum height limitations.

T-Posts:  T-Posts are available with 1¼” face dimension with a backer.

Specialties:  Specialties are not available at this time. 

Fold Pattern:  Standard left over right.

Width:  Individual panels cannot exceed 26” wide.  Minimum panel charge applies to panels less than 13” in width. 

Height:  Panels can be built up to 72” tall. 

Divider Rails:  A divider rail is a stationary rail placed within a panel, which separates the louvers into a top and bottom section, which both work independently of each other.  The divider rail will replace a louver and will be placed as close to the center of the panel as possible.  A divider rail can be added for no charge and is available for all panel designs for panels over 30” in height.

 Energy savings: R-value rating of 5.91, shading coefficient: .17 with 99% UV blocking when closed.

Care & Maintenance

Avalon Composite Shutters are easy to clean and maintain by wiping with a soft dry cloth.
